DESCRIPTION OF CLASSES

Thai Boxing: Mixed – This class is open to both beginner and advanced students.

Thai Boxing: Circuit – This class is open to all skill levels and focuses on conditioning for Muy Thai.

Thai Boxing: Beginner (White to Orange Ranks) - This class is specifically geared toward the beginner who has less than 6 months of training.  The student generally will hold a rank of Orange or lower in the BETA Thai Boxing Curriculum.  Advanced students are always welcome to participate in the Beginner class.

Thai Boxing: Intermediate (Green to Purple Ranks) – Students attending this class generally have at least six months of Muay Thai experience and have obtained a rank of Green or higher in the BETA Thai Boxing Curriculum. 

Thai Boxing: Advanced (Purple One to Black Ranks) – Students attending this class generally have at least two years of Muay Thai experience and have obtained a rank of Purple One or higher in the BETA Thai Boxing Curriculum. 

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: Mixed – This class is open to both beginner and advanced grappling students. Beginners must attend at least 16 Basic BJJ lessons before participating in this mixed class.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: Basics - This class focuses on fundamental escapes, holding, and submission techniques and is specifically geared toward the beginner who has less than 1 year of grappling experience.  Students in this class will hold a white belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  Advanced students are always welcome to participate in the Basics class.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Competition Team - This class is exclusively for members of the BJJ Competition Team. This class focuses on competitive strategies for both Gi and No-Gi techniques that will help students win tournament matches.

We are not only within short walking distance of the metro; we are also less than a block away from the Columbia Heights shopping district that contains a Best Buy, Target and a Pot Belly Sandwich shop, among many other stores and restaurants. In this area, there is plenty of street parking. Students may also park in the enclosed, public parking garage of the shopping center, for only $1.00 per hour.
