BETA Academy Strength Training Program
The BETA Academy Barbell Strength Program is a training system constructed to safely and effectively improve strength, health, and athletic performance.
This program will teach you how to get strong and will provide the knowledge necessary to efficiently improve full body strength. In this program you will learn how often you should train, what specific exercises to perform , how to perform them , and how frequently you should perform them.
In order to get stronger, full body movements must be performed with weight that progressively increases over a period of time. An effective way to complete this objective is to use barbell exercises. Barbell exercises train the body as a system.
Barbell strength training is simple in its application but requires precision in its execution. The amount of reps, training frequency, and type of exercises used, will vary depending on your age, sex, and current health status. In order to strength train three days per week, and add weight on the bar each session, the program will be individualized to you. Training under the guidance of a coach is important to helping you execute the lifts with optimal technical efficiency so that you can continue to make progress.
How it works?
In order to get stronger human movement patterns must be loaded with heavy weights that move the body through a full range of motion involving large amounts of muscle mass. The most effective way to accomplish this goal is with the use of 4 primary barbell exercises: the squat, the press, the deadlift, and the bench press.
The barbell strength program involves training three days per week in which you will squat, press or bench press, and deadlift. You will recover from that training session, and come back 48 hours later and train again by adding more weight to the bar, tracking your progress, and repeating the process.
The program is organized into two training sessions. Session A and Session B.
Session A: ( squat, press, and deadlift)
Session B: ( squat, bench press, and deadlift)
The training program is performed three days per week on non-consecutive days. Example would be a Mon/Wed/Fri schedule, or Tues,Thurs/Sat schedule. Session A and B will be alternated week to week. The workouts for session A and B will be modified as you make continual strength progress on the program.
On day 1 you will come in and your coach will help establish starting weight for you on primary barbell exercises. 48 hours later, you will come back for your second session and lift more weight then you did on day 1. On day 3 you will do more weight then you did on day 2 and this progression will continue for an extended time period. During this process you will become stronger than you ever have before.
This process is simple and the main variable that is progressed is the amount of weight being lifted on the bar.
Who is it for?
Increased strength will lower your risk of injury, and will benefit you in improving your speed, power, agility, and balance and coordination. Improving your strength can help improve your endurance, body composition, your bone-density, and overall health. Strength training accomplishes improvements in these areas regardless of your age. So people of all ages can benefit from barbell strength training.
How’s it different?
This strength training program is simple, hard, and effective. It doesn’t involve complexity and over complication like other programs.
This strength program is well tested and proven to get results. Thousands of people have used simple barbell strength training methodology to improve strength efficiently and effectively.
The BETA Academy strength training program ensures all participants receive dedicated coaching. You will receive expert coaching and individualized programming in small semi-private groups.
Many fitness programs rely on how tired, sore, and sweaty you are after workouts to track progress. The Beta academy strength training program produces quantifiable results that you can track and measure week to week. Simply put, if you can lift more weight than you did the previous session, then you have just gotten stronger.
Strength training benefits everything else you do physically.
How to get started?
Each trainee will go through a 2-hour 1 on 1 barbell clinic session with a coach. During this session you will be introduced to the barbell strength training program and will learn how to perform the squat, the press, and the deadlift. You will establish a baseline of strength on these lifts to work off of as you participate in the program.
Your coach will help teach you how to track the day’s training session and will tell you what you’ll be lifting in your next session. Your coach will confirm the date and time of your first group training session after the completion of the intro session.
During your second session, you will add more weight to each lift from the previous workout and this process will continue as you progress through the program.
